The gite itself was beautifully renovated, with plenty of space for a family to stay. We loved the added touch of books and games for entertainment. The rural location offered stunning scenery, perfect for a relaxing holiday. The self-serve breakfast was a great idea, allowing us to enjoy it whenever we wanted. The homemade jams were absolutely delicious. A truly excellent property, offering comfort and style at a great price. Camille, the host, went above and beyond to make our stay special, arranging a lovely tasting and lunch for us in a nearby village. Communication was easy, with Camille using her smartphone for translation. The location was perfect for exploring the scenic bike paths along the Saone and Voie Verte. an exceptional experience with excellent amenities and a fantastic host.

The location of the hotel is stunning, surrounded by beautiful countryside. the rooms are comfortable and clean, providing a perfect retreat from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. the facilities are excellent, with a large garden and peaceful surroundings that offer a sense of tranquility.

It is disappointing that the breakfast provided was not up to par, with only a couple of stale croissants left from the night before. the lack of a warm, filling meal in the morning left us hungry and unsatisfied.

After a long day of hiking through the picturesque vineyards of Macon, Au Calme was the perfect place to unwind. The peaceful surroundings and charming design of the property made us feel right at home. The owners were incredibly helpful and even arranged a special wine tasting in the enchanting village of Pouilly. Highly recommend for families looking to explore the Macon region.
